Meeting with Representatives of a French Company

A meeting was held today between the Heads of the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) and representatives of the French Company Seureca, during which a contract was signed. As per the contract, the company will conduct a feasibility study for Tskalrubo Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP). The purpose of the consulting services is to study the current condition of Tskaltubo sewage system. Specifically, within the pre-design study, the company will identify the current situation in Tskaltubo, the location for the construction of the WWTP, its scope and type. Once the pre-design study is completed, construction of the WWTP in Tskaltubo will begin, after which many of the issues, faced by the residents of Tskaltubo will be resolved.
The deadline for finalization of the feasibility study is June 28, 2013. Based on the analysis, prepared by Seureca, a design company will be hired to prepare a detailed design for the WWTP. Once the design is prepared, a bidding will be announced to begin construction of the WWTP.
Consulting services will be funded within a World Bank (WB) program, while construction work is planned to be funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
