Design Works Begin for Stadium, Swimming Pool and Basketball Arena in Chiatura

The Municipal Development Fund is launching a project to upgrade sports infrastructure in Chiatura. A contract for the project has been signed with the company selected through a competitive tender.

The project envisages the reconstruction of the existing stadium in accordance with UEFA Category 3 standards, as well as the full rehabilitation of the swimming pool and basketball arena.

Designed to accommodate at least 6,000 spectators, the stadium will feature renovated stands, a dedicated media area, changing rooms, medical and physiotherapy facilities, as well as commercial and administrative spaces.

The facility will be equipped with modern security and lighting systems that meet current technological standards.

The project is expected to contribute to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle in Chiatura, support the development of sports, and create the necessary infrastructure for hosting international-level sporting events.
