A Repeated Competition Announced for Design to Rehabilitate the House of Culture (Theater) in Kvareli

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Infrastructure has announced a repeated competition for the rehabilitation design for the House of Culture (Theater) in Kvareli.

The House of Culture building in Kvareli was built in the 1960s and 1970s and is a typical example of Soviet-era public architecture. The goal of the rehabilitation project is to preserve the architectural and artistic value of the building and fully rehabilitate it, improve its functionality, and transform it into a modern, multifunctional cultural center.

Within the project scope, a comprehensive rehabilitation and adaptaqtion design, and the corresponding cost estimate documentation will be developed. The spaces are to be optimized, and a multifunctional concert hall, educational areas, rehearsal spaces for folk, dance, and variety ensembles, as well as an exhibition space will be arranged.

As a result of the upgrade, the House of Culture in Kvareli will be transformed into a cultural center with modern infrastructure, providing the local population and visitors with the opportunity to hold a variety of cultural, educational, and community events.
