Final Stage of Abastumani Resort Rehabilitation Underway

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Infrastructure is implementing the final stage of the rehabilitation of resort infrastructure in Abastumani, Adigeni Municipality.

At this stage, pre-design studies are underway, based on which the infrastructure to be rehabilitated and the scope of works to be carried out will be determined.

The project envisages the restoration of buildings and structures of historical and cultural significance, the improvement of public tourism and recreational facilities, the rehabilitation of streets and roads, as well as the construction and reconstruction of bank protection structures and bridge crossings.

The project aims to preserve Abastumani’s historic environment and distinctive cultural character while developing the resort in line with modern standards.

The rehabilitation of Abastumani’s infrastructure will contribute to strengthening the region’s tourism and economic potential, protecting its historical heritage, and creating a comfortable environment for both local residents and visitors.

Upon completion of the project, Abastumani will be further developed as a modern resort meeting international standards and will strengthen its position on the global tourism map.
