The Ministry of Infrastructure Announces Tenders for the Reconstruction and Rehabilitation of 11 Public Schools

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Infrastructure has announced tenders for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of 11 public schools across Georgia.

The procurement procedures envisage the preparation of detailed design and cost-estimate documentation for the schools, followed by the implementation of construction works based on the approved documentation.

The total estimated value of the announced tenders amounts to approximately GEL 130 million.

The projects cover Public Schools No. 5 and No. 24 in Kutaisi; Public School No. 8 in Telavi (Shalauri building); Public School No. 6 in Tkibuli; Public School No. 4 in Khoni; Public School No. 1 in Borjomi; Public School No. 16 in Rustavi; as well as public schools located in the village of Zemo Karabulakhi in Dmanisi Municipality, the village of Latali in Mestia Municipality, the village of Khevsurtsopeli and the town of Zhinvali in Tianeti Municipality.

Under the projects, the existing school buildings will be reconstructed and rehabilitated and brought into compliance with modern educational standards. The schools will feature upgraded educational and administrative spaces, sports infrastructure, sanitary facilities, engineering systems, and safety systems. Where necessary, the surrounding school grounds will also be improved and landscaped. All schools will be fully accessible and adapted for persons with disabilities.

Upon completion of the projects, students and teachers will benefit from modern, safe, and comfortable learning environments.

The Municipal Development Fund calls on construction companies with relevant experience and qualifications to take an interest in the announced tenders and participate in the procurement procedures.
