A Tender Announced for Design-Build of the Second Stage of Rehabilitation-Modernization of Central Road and Adjacent Infrastructure of Velistsikhe Village

The tender, announced by the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Infrastructure envisages the development of the design-cost estimate documentation, as well as the execution of the construction work.

The goal of this new stage of Velistsikhe Infrastructure Upgrade Project is to develop the historical and cultural character of the village so as to comply with modern standards.

The project provides for the rehabilitation of central streets and pedestrian infrastructure, the improvement of road surfaces and underground utilities, the upgrade of sidewalks, the arrangement of intersections, and the installation of modern outdoor lighting systems.

The existing residential and public buildings in the center of Velistsikhe Village are to be reconstructed-rehabilitated as well.

During the upgrade of these buildings, priority will be given to preserving and restoring their historical architecture, and the new projects will be implemented with due consideraton for the functional, historical, and tourist significance of the village.

Moreover, the MDF is actively working to study the rehabilitation work that had been started or suspended in the central part of Velistsikhe, and to prepare the relevant design documents.
