Design of a Cultural Center and a New Recreational Space in Ambrolauri

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Infrastructure is carrying out design work to create a new recreational space and a cultural center in Ambrolauri Municipality, Racha.

Within the project, a new park of modern standards will be arranged in Ambrolauri, which will make a significant contribution to promoting a healthy lifestyle, organizing community events, and developing tourism.

The new recreational space is to include the playgrounds for children, sports fields, bike lanes and pathways, rest areas, open-air stages, and pavilions. The site will also feature a parking lot, and modern outdoor lighting, irrigation, water supply, sewage and security systems. The park will be fully accessible to people with disabilities.

As per design, Ambrolauri Culture Center will also undergo the full upgrade. The rehabilitation of the building will preserve its historical and architectural appearance, whilst adapting it to modern standards.
As a result of the rehabilitation, the multifunctional cultural center will combine spaces, dedicated to public theatre, folklore, dance, museum, and education. The project also provides for the use of energy-efficient technologies and the full adaptation of the building for the people with special needs.

For many years, Ambrolauri Culture Center, known for its distinctive architecture, has been an important part of the cultural life of the city, and has hosted numerous events, concerts, and community gatherings. Its upgrade and the adding of modern amenities to it, will contribute to the further development of cultural life of Ambrolauri, whereas the creation of a new park will offer its residents and visitors a modern, comfortable space for recreation and various events.
