Active work is underway in six Municipalities of Kakheti to create modern football infrastructure for youth

Modern football technical (training) centers are being built in Akhmeta, Telavi, Kvareli, Gurjaani, Tsnori and Sagarejo, which will provide athletes with a comprehensive training environment.
The Minister of Infrastructure of Georgia โ Revaz Sokhadze, along with the President of the Georgian Football Federation โ Levan Kobiashvili, the State Representative to Kakheti Region โ Platon Kalmakhelidze, the Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) โ Giorgi Shonia, and representatives of local authorities, were familiarized with the progress of current work at the sites.
The main construction work on the technical building of the football training center in Akhmeta has already been completed. Construction of a training stadium with artificial turf is actively underway. The project also includes a 300-seat grandstand, locker rooms, showers, a medical room, restrooms, and other necessary infrastructure.
The MDF of the Ministry of Infrastructure is constructing more than 50 modern football training centers and artificial turf stadiums across the country, which will contribute to the development of sports infrastructure in the regions and increase engagement of youth in sports activities.
