The Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Giorgi Shonia, together with Giorgi Ghurjumelidze and other representatives of the local authorities, visited the ongoing rehabilitation works at the Kvemo Natanebi Public School in Ozurgeti Municipality.
The rehabilitation of the public school, designed to accommodate 400 students, is being carried out in accordance with international standards.
Upon completion, the school will be fully renovated and equipped with modern classrooms, a library, a laboratory, a landscaped schoolyard, sports grounds, as well as upgraded heating, water supply, and wastewater systems.
By the decision of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Municipal Development Fund, the project has been expanded to include the rehabilitation of the historic theatre building located within the school grounds, which was not part of the original project. Following rehabilitation, the building will serve as a community cultural center, providing a modern venue for cultural, educational, creative, and community activities for local residents.
The rehabilitation of the Kvemo Natanebi Public School is being implemented with co-financing from the Government of Georgia and the World Bank.
