Active Construction and Rehabilitation of Tbilisi Public Schools

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Infrastructure is actively implementing the projects for the construction and rehabilitation of public schools in Tbilisi City.

Deputy Executive Director of MDF - Kvara Chartlolani, inspected the sites of works, being carried out at that schools.
Within the projects, the construction of Public School №4 is nearing completion, the construction of a new building for Public School №11 is underway, while a new, additional study building, designed for 300 students for Public School №128 is being built. Moreover, Public Schools №162 and №50 are being rehabilitated.

The new and upgraded schools will be equipped so as to comply with modern educational standards. The learning spaces will feature modern classrooms, specialized offices, labs, libraries, sports and assembly halls, administrative areas, and other necessary infrastructure.

Particular attention is paid to the rehabilitation of Tbilisi Public School №50, since it holds the status of a cultural heritage monument of national significance. The restoration work is underway, preserving the historical appearance and architectural value of that building.

The Ministry of Infrastructure continues to implement the projects for construction and rehabilitation of public schools across the country. Within the program, modern educational infrastructure is being created that will provide students and teachers with a safe, comfortable, and modern learning environment.
