MDF TO CARRY OUT THE DESIGN-REHABILITATION OF TELAVI PUBLIC SCHOOL №8 (SHALAURI BUILDING)

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Infrastructure will carry out the reconstruction-rehabilitation of Public School №8 (Shalauri building) in Telavi City of Kakheti Region.

Deputy Executive Director of MDF - Kvara Chartolani, First Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth – Levan Ghirsiashvili, and representatives of local authorities inspected the current condition of the school on site.

Based on the application from MDF, and in accordance with an expert opinion by Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau, the building is in need of rehabilitation. Following a market study, MDF is already preparing technical documentation for a bidding for the design and rehabilitation of the school.

Within the project, architectural, structural and engineering systems of the school will be upgraded, modern educational spaces (classrooms) will be arranged, the schoolyard will be improved, an outdoor lighting system will be installed, and in case of appropriate conditions, a sports field will be built.

As a result of the project implementation, students and teachers of Public School №8 (Shalauri building) will gain access to a safe and energy-efficient educational environment of modern standards.
