Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Mzia Giorgobiani Participates in the Polish-Georgian Economic and Investment Forum

Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Mzia Giorgobiani participated in the Polish-Georgian Economic and Investment Forum, held in Tbilisi.
The forum brought together representatives of government institutions from Georgia and Poland, international organizations, and the private sector to discuss opportunities for deepening bilateral economic cooperation, expanding investment, and advancing infrastructure development projects.
Addressing the forum participants, Deputy Minister Giorgobiani highlighted Georgia's strong economic development and the country's growing role as a regional transit and logistics hub. She spoke about the Georgian Government's large-scale infrastructure agenda, including investments in road, railway, and logistics infrastructure, as well as ongoing projects to improve water supply systems and other public infrastructure.
Deputy Minister Giorgobiani noted that the development of modern and sustainable infrastructure is a key driver of Georgia's competitiveness, stronger regional connectivity, and the country's growing attractiveness as a destination for international trade and investment. She also underscored the importance of adopting high European standards, fostering a transparent and predictable business environment, and strengthening cooperation with international partners.
As part of the forum, thematic panel discussions featured Shota Andriadze, Deputy Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Infrastructure, and Giorgi Giorgobiani, Deputy Director of the United Water Supply Company of Georgia.
During the panel discussion, they presented ongoing and planned projects in Georgia's water supply and wastewater sector, as well as broader public infrastructure development initiatives. They also discussed procurement procedures and implementation mechanisms for projects financed by the Government of Georgia and international financial institutions. The speakers emphasized the importance of active private sector participation in delivering high-quality, modern infrastructure.
The forum was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Georgia and the Tbilisi Office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.
