FOOTBALL TRAINING CENTER AND A NEW STADIUM UNDER CONSTRUCTION IN ABASHA TOWN

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Infrastructure continues the implementation of sports infrastructure development projects throughout the country.

Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze and Executive Director of MDF Giorgi Shonia, together with State Representative to Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Region Davit Verava, and representatives of local authorities, visited the site of current construction works, being carried out for the football training center and the new stadium in Abasha Town.

Construction of the football training center and the new stadium with artificial turf, designed for 300 spectators, is actively underway in Abasha Town.

The project envisages the arrangement of a comprehensive sports infrastructure. Specifically, changing rooms, restrooms, a security post, and other support facilities will be provided there.

The project provides for the arrangement of sports infrastructure of modern standards, including artificial turf and the necessary technical systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility.

The sports complex will offer the local youth and athletes an environment of modern standards and will contribute to the development of sports.
The project is being implemented by MDF with financial support from the Government of Georgia (GOG) at the cost of GEL 4.8 million.
