REHABILITATION OF CHIATURA PUBLIC SCHOOL №2 IS TO BEGIN

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Infrastructure is to launch the reconstruction-rehabilitation project of Public School N2 in Chiatura Town of Imereti Region.

The project provides for the reconstruction-rehabilitation of the public school, designed for 750 students, and, if necessary, execution of work to reinforce the building. That includes an assessment of the technical condition of the building, and the preparation of a detailed design, followed by construction work, based on the developed design documents.

During the rehabilitation of the school, special attention will be paid to arhitectural and cultural characteristics of the region. Modern architecutral and engineering approaches will be used in the course of the design preparation.

The project also includes site landscaping, the installation of exterior lighting, engineering utilities, drainage systems, fencing, and, if space allows, the arrangement of outdoor sports fields.

The school rehabilitation is funded by the Government of Georgia (GOG), at the cost, amounting to GEL 9.6 million.
