MODERN RECREATIONAL SPACES AND PARKS BEING DEVELOPED IN KUTAISI

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Infrastructure is implementing large-scale infrastructural projects in Kutaisi. Works are underway to develop the Students and Youth Park and the boulevard adjacent to the former Parliament building, both currently in active phases. A multifunctional park of Kutaisi is also at the design stage.

These projects are funded by the Government of Georgia and are progressing according to schedule.
The rehabilitation project for the Students and Youth Park envisages construction of pedestrian and bike paths, planting of new green belts, site improvement works, installation of small architectural elements, and modernization of the lighting system.

A contemporary multifunctional park will be created on a 70-hectare site adjacent to the former Parliament building, to be developed as an ecologically sustainable, multifunctional recreational space.

As part of the project, the park will feature children’s and sports zones, exercise areas, pedestrian and bicycle paths, cultural and educational spaces, an open-air stage, pavilions and event venues. The site will also host an information center, pergolas, chess tables, drinking-water fountains, decorative ponds and water features. The project includes landscaping with native plant species.
The park will provide parking facilities, including spaces equipped with chargers for electric vehicles, external lighting, irrigation infrastructure, and security and video-surveillance systems.

All recreational areas will be fully accessible to all users, including persons with special needs.
The implementation of these projects will promote healthy lifestyle, expand the city’s recreational infrastructure, boost tourism potential and strengthen the local economy.
