Construction of rugby stadiums in Tskaltubo and Khashuri Municipalities is to begin

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Infrastructure has signed a contract with the bidding winner company. The total duration of the work is 12 months.

Within the projects, high-quality rugby stadiums with artificial turf, stands for 300 spectators, and modern lighting systems will be arranged in Tskaltubo Town and Surami Borough of Khashuri Municipality.

There are to be arranged also locker rooms, showers, utility rooms, and a medical office.

Currently, the design/build of rugby technical centers is underway in Ambrolauri, Sachkhere, Lentekhi, and Orbeli Village of Tsageri Municipality.

Moreover, MDF is to build world-class rugby stadiums with artificial turf throughout the country: in Ponichala, near Tbilisi Sea; in Tserovani Village of Mtskheta Municipality; and in Stepantsminda Borough of Kazbegi Municipality.

The rugby stadiums with natural turf are also to be built in Kutaisi and Gumbara Village of Tskaltubo Municipality.

“Aiya” stadium in Kutaisi and Avchala one in Tbilisi will undergo rehabilitation too.
