A design competition announced for a multifunctional complex in Tsalenjikha

The design for the sports complex and cultural-educational center of international standards, prepared within a competition, announced by the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Infrastructure, will serve as a replicable model for other regions.

As per the project, the multifunctional complex is to include a large pool and a one for children, changing rooms and showers, and specialized halls for judo, wrestling, boxing, karate, MMA, table tennis, gymnastics, and weightlifting.

The complex will include a chess area, a medical facility, administrative room and offices for referees, a kitchen, and a dining hall. The project also provides for the rehabilitation of the stadium with natural turf.

In addition, the complex will feature a cultural-education center, combining a media library, foreign language classrooms, and spaces for dance, folklore, and the arts.

The building will also house small and multipurpose halls and a STEM club, which will bring together workspaces, dedicated to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The project must include the arrangement of parking lots, pedestrian pathways, water supply, lighting, and security systems on the site of the multipurpose complex.
