DEVELOPMENT OF SPORTS INFRASTRUCTURE IN TELAVI CONTINUES

Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze and Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) Beka Urushadze were familiarized with a multifunctional sports complex and a football training center designs in Telavi.
A modern multifunctional sports complex to meet the standards of the World Aquatics Federation, will be built in Telavi. The project envisages the arrangement of an indoor pool for swimming, synchronized swimming, and water polo.
The complex will include a grandstand for 200 spectators, a pool for children, changing rooms and showers, gyms, coaching, medical and physical therapy rooms, as well as a conference hall and commercial (retail) spaces. The building will house a fast-food restaurant and a sports store, and the grounds will feature parking lot for cars and buses.
The project aims to promote a healthy lifestyle, and develop modern sports infrastructure in Kakheti Region.
In addition, the design work for a football training center and stadium in Telavi has already been finalized. The new training facility will be able to accommodate 300 spectators. The center will include the changing rooms, showers, medical offices, and technical storage facilities for both teams and referees. The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) is to build more than 50 technical centers and stadiums with artificial turf across the country.
All new sports infrastructure will be fully adapted for the people with disabilities.
