A DESIGN COMPETITION ANNOUNCED FOR A MULTIFUNCTIONAL COMPLEX FOR 1500 SPECTATORS IN RUSTAVI

The competition, announced by the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Infrastructure, calls for the development of a design that will subsequently serve as a replicable model across various regions of the country.
The multifunctional complex is to combine sports, educational and cultural-educational infrastructure.

As per design, the complex must include a large swimming pool with stands for at least 300 spectators, a pool for children, changing rooms, showers, and rooms for coaches, referees, and medical staff. It will also feature specialized halls for judo, wrestling, boxing, MMA, and weightlifting.

In addition to that, areas are to be provided and arranged for chess, table tennis, gymnastics, karate, fencing, air rifle shooting, and eSports.
The design must include the arrangement of an indoor mini-football arena, an outdoor football pitch with artificial turf, designated for 100 spectators and changing rooms, a climbing wall for recreational use, two outdoor and one indoor tennis courts, and courts for padel and beach volleyball.

The cultural and educational center of the multifunctional complex must include a media library, spaces for various events, and an administrtive unit.
In addition to the buildings and structures, the project site will feature paraking lot, pedestrian paths, moden lighting and security systems.
The implementation of the multifunctional complex project in Rustavi will make a significant contribution to the development of the sports and public infrastructure of the city, the engagement of young people, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
