Rehabilitation of Public Schools in Ghulelebi and Sioni Villages is to start

The rehabilitation of Public Schools in high-mountainous villages of Ghulelebi and Sioni of Tianeti Municipality, will be carried out within the project as follows: “Public Schools of Remote Mountainous Regions of Georgia”, funded by the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO).

A corresponding Contract has been concluded with the competition winner company, with the total duration for the provision of services and completion of work, set at 72 weeks.

The Public Schools of Ghulelebi and Sioni Villages are designed to serve 250 students each. The rehabilitation project aims at creating a modern and environmentally friendly environment, improve energy efficiency, and introduce renewable, alternative energy sources.

As per the project, energy consumption, CO2 emissions, and the operation and maintenance costs of school buildings in Tianeti Municipality will be significantly decreased.

Moreover, the project envisages work to be executed so as to reinforce both school buildings.
