1,300 TREES TO BE PLANTED IN GORI

As part of the "Green Infrastructure for a Sustainable Future" program implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Infrastructure, 300 trees have been planted in the Gori Culture and Recreation Park (Akhalbagi). The newly planted greenery includes 70 linden trees, 150 hackberry trees, and 80 cedar trees.

Tree planting across Gori central park will continue in phases. The next stage of planting will take place this autumn, bringing the total number of newly planted trees in the park to 1,300. An additional 1,000 trees will be planted during the autumn campaign, including trees designated for the establishment of windbreak belts.

The greening of Gori Central Park, which was rehabilitated with the support of the World Bank, marks an important milestone in the park's continued development. The initiative aims to create an even healthier, more environmentally sustainable, and attractive urban environment for the residents of Gori.
