MEETING WITH TEACHERS AND PARENTS OF THE DUISI PUBLIC SCHOOL

The Minister of Infrastructure, Revaz Sokhadze, together with the Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund, Beka Urushadze, Member of Parliament of Georgia Irakli Kadagishvili, the State Representative in the Kakheti Region, Platon Kalmakhelidze, and the Mayor of Akhmeta Municipality, Aleksi Pitskhelauri, held a meeting with teachers and parents of the pupils of Duisi Public School in Akhmeta Municipality.

The project for construction of a public school in Duisi, designed to accommodate 800 students, was transferred for implementation to the Municipal Development Fund following abolition of the Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency existing under the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia.

At this stage, the design of the school, complying to modern standards, is underway in Duisi. The new building will house classrooms, ICT and information technology rooms, a science laboratory, a library, and a medical office.

The school will also accomodate internal and external spaces, including multifunctional and sports halls, a playground, dining facilities, and administrative offices.
The infrastructure of the Duisi Public School will be fully adapted to students with special educational needs.
