A competition announced for design to arrange the boulevard connecting Akhaltsikhe Lake site with the Central Park

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Infrastructure has announced a competition for the design to rehabilitate the site in the vicinity of Beka Jakeli Street, and the arrangement of a boulevard, connecting to the Central Park in Akhaltsikhe.
As per design, there is to be created a space that will combine recreational, sports, and various other public areas.
The project should include the creation of play areas for children of different ages, sports and workout spaces, and open fields on the site, as well as arrangement of a network of pedestrian, running lanes, and bike paths.
According to the terms of the competition, the project shall include the construction of pergolas, boat docks, and a small-scale commercial and service infrastructure. Special attention will be paid to ensuring security, including the provision of the site with video-surveillance and night lighting systems throughout the site.
The project shall also envisage the arrangement of a modern irrigation system, power supply network, water supply and sewer systems.
Moreover, the project shall include landscaping with local plants so as the biodiversity and natural ecosystem to be preserved.
