MDF rehabilitated kindergarten in Mtskheta

MDF rehabilitated kindergarten located on Gmiri Street in town Mtskheta. Cost of civil works is 120,635.07 GEL. Within the scope of rehabilitation following works were implemented: windows and doors replacement, new floor arrangement, lavatory and kitchen repairing, walls plastering and painting and heating system installation. As of today data 120 children attend to mentioned kindergarten. According to information provided by kindergarten management after building rehabilitation additional 50 parents expressed their desire to take their children into this kindergarten and additional 50 applications were received. 35 workmen were hired on civil works. Along with building rehabilitation yard also was arranged.

MDF rehabilitated kindergarten in village Ksovrisi

MDF has also rehabilitated village Ksovrisi kindergarten building and arranged yard. Cost of civil works is 164,136,99 GEL. Within the scope of rehabilitation following works were implemented: windows and doors replacement, new floor arrangement, sewerage system arrangement, lavatory and kitchen repairing, walls plastering and painting and heating system installation. Currently 25 children go to Ksovri kindergarten. After rehabilitation additional 40 applications were received by the kindergarten. 35-40 workers were employed on civil works.

In Mtskheta Municipal Development Fund rehabilitated three kindergartens

MDF deputy director Mr. Ilia Darchiashvili visited kindergartens rehabilitated by fund in Mtskheta municipality. MDF has rehabilitated three kindergartens in Mteskheta municipality in particular: In town Mtskheta, in village Ksovrisi and in village Dzegvi. Project was financed by state budget and total allocated amount was more than 400 thousand GEL. Currently more than 175 children are attending in three kindergarten. Since rehabilitation works more than 200 applications were received. More than 100 workmen were employed on civil works, most of them locals.

MDF was awarded by World Bank for projects implemented in Kakheti region

MDF, Ministry of Regional development and Infrastructure of Georgia and Ministry of Finance of Georgia were granted with Vice President award in World Bank Europe and Central Asia region for joint project successful implementation. From East Europe and Central Asia 80 projects were presented from which only 16 were selected. World Bank nominated “ Kakheti regional development project” as one of the successful projects. This project was implemented by MDF and from World Bank side was managed by programs sustainable development coordinator in South Caucasus Ahmed Eiweida.

MDF is rehabilitating five streets in Kutaisi

Deputy Executive Director Mr. TornikeToradze visited street rehabilitation works in Kutaisi. Following 5 streets rehabilitation is in progress by MDF order: Otskelistr. Z. Gamsaxurdia str. Topuria str. Sokhumi and K. Gamsaxurdia str. Total cost for works consists of 1,195,788 GEL

MDF will rehabilitate water supply system in 28 towns of Georgia by European Investment Bank and UN funding

Within the scope of Georgia-European Union investment conference Prime Minister of Georgia Mr. IrakliGaribashvili and President of European Commission JozeManuel Barroso signed agreement, basedon agreement EU will support Georgia in water quality improvement.
Today in hotel Radisson project agreement was signed byfollowing parties: European Investment Bank- Vice President VilhermMolterer, MDF - Executive Director George Somkhishvili and Georgian United Water Company – General Director George Tsabutashvili according to the contract 48 million euro will be utilized for water supply system rehabilitation in 28 towns from which 40 million euro is European Investment Bank’s loan and 8 million euro EU grant.

The “Road of the Century” Project was Launched in Barisakho

Today presentation of the “road of the century” construction project was held in Barisakho. Pirikita Khevsureti and Piraketa Khevsureti will get connected through a 25 km road section. The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia by means of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia. In the near future design works for the mentioned road section will commence, which will be followed by road construction works.

MDF rehabilitates residential building for 110 ADP families

In Autumn 110 ADP families will receive new residential building. Mr. TornikeToradze Deputy Executive Director has visited construction works.
Within the frame of municipal infrastructure and ADP’s residential building rehabilitation MDF is rehabilitating residential building for 110 ADPs in Kutaisi which is former hospital and is located on Otskhelistreet, project is financed by USAID and total cost is 4,356,899.00 GEL.

The Prime-Minister Visited Oni Water Supply Rehabilitation Project Site

Oni population will be supplied with high quality potable water. The problem pending in course of years, which was disturbing Oni population, was settled as result of the project implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia. Today the Prime-Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili was visiting rehabilitation works for Oni water supply system. He got updated on rehabilitation works with assistance the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Elguja Khokrishvili and Deputy Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, Tornike Toradze. “Oni population suffered from the lack of filtered water, until now they were being supplied with muddy water, non-existence of such primary living conditions in the XXI century is a real shame for us, but in the first place it is the shame of the previous government, which has been neglecting the needs of population, and now we have to set aright their shortcomings. This is an additional clear proof of the fact that no attention was paid to actual accomplishments and everything was done superficially. The project will be completed within a one-month period and the population will be supplied with filtered, high quality potable water.”- stated the Prime-Minister during his visit to the Oni Head-works.

The Prime Minister Visited Tbilisi-Rustavi Highway Construction Works

After construction of the new highway, a trip from Tbilisi to Rustavi will take 15 minutes. Today, the prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili was visiting the construction site. The Head of Government got updated on the project with assistance of the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Mr. Elguja Khokrishvili and Deputy Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, Mr. Tornike Toradze. The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Governor of Kvemo Kartli Giorgi Mghebrishvili and Majority Deputy from Rustavi, Zviad Dzidziguri.
