Today minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories , Accommodation and refugees of Georgia Sozar Subari , Municipal Development Fund first deputy executive director Ilia Darchiashvili and USAID mission director Stephan Haiken granted 113 ADP families with keys of residential houses.

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia of the Minsitry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has completed rehabilitation works for Gachedili-Balda road in Martvili Municipality. Today, the First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Giorgi Amashukeli was visiting the completed work site together with local authorities.

Under the project “Government of Georgia for Open Governance”, the Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia, Sozar Subari presented to the public a report on the outcomes of two-year operations of the Ministry. The presentation was attended by members of Georgian government and Parliament of Georgia, members of diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia, representatives of international and local NGO-s. First Deputy Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili was also present at the meeting; he gave a speech on large-scale infrastructural projects implemented by the MDF for IDP-s.

Cement-concrete pavement arrangement works have been initiated on Tbilisi-Rustavi highway. As a result of active operations, pavement laying works have commenced ahead of schedule. Today, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia - Mr. Davit Shavliashvili accompanied by his First Deputy and Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia – Mr. Giorgi Amashukeli, were visiting works ongoing on Tbilisi-Rustavi highway. The authorities entered into conversation with people employed at the project site and obtained detailed information on the progress of works.

On December 3-5, 2014 in hotel “ Tiplisi Palace “ urban mobility forum is held with the theme: „Let’s change Tbilisi by supporting sustainable urban mobility”. Forum opening was attended by Tbilisi Mayer David Narmania, MDF Deputy Executive Director Tariel Gugava and ADB urban development senior specialist Bertran Goalu.
Tbilisi City Hall and Municipal Development Fund of Georgia are organizers of three day forum. Forum is held by ADB support.

Construction works for the Ponichala section of Rustavi-Tbilisi highway are ongoing uninterruptedly and ahead of schedule. Today, 10 IDP-s residing in Ponichala area were making a protest against lack of village access secondary road under the Tbilisi-Rustavi highway project. It is notable that the design for highway construction was developed in 2012. Current management of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia has taken into consideration the IDP request for secondary roads and applied to the donor organization for problem solution. Respective decision is made to this effect and today Deputy Executive Directors of the MDF notified the rally crowd of the above-mentioned fact while meeting with them.

Today Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Davit Shavliahsvili and MDF First Deputy Executive Director Ilia Darchiashvili along with “ Green House Director Marina Tarasashvili visited reconstruction works of psychological center “ Green House”.
By state financing backing MDF is implementing reconstruction works. Cost of the reconstruction works is GEL 65, 143.00

Tbilisi Rustavi 17,4 km highway construction works is not implemented on carriageway and does not make discomfort for population, this information was disseminated by sub agency of Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and Municipal Development Fund. MDF explains that civil works envisaged by project is scheduled so that alternative road is being cut and mentioned works are not related to existing road.

800 households of 6 villages forming part of Zaridzeebi Community in Tianeti Municipality are provided with 24-hour water supply.
The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has executed rehabilitation of the water supply system and about 2500 local inhabitants are provided with uninterrupted supply of high quality filtered potable water. Today, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Davit Shavliashvili, together with the Deputy Executive Director of Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, Tornike Toradze familiarized himself on-site with outcomes of implemented works and met with Zaridzeebi Community population.
