Rehabilitation of an access road to Aspinda rugby field in progress

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has commenced rehabilitation works for an access road to rugby field in Aspindza Municipality. Today the Executive Director of the Fund Juansher Burchuladze has visited the working process on site.

Bidding on Tskneti-Betania Road Design and Rehabilitation Works to be Announced in the Near Future

On June 13, 2016, which is an anniversary of the natural disaster, geological survey of the damaged section of Tskenti-Betania road and its adjacent area is completed. The survey was conducted on demand and in coordination with the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia. The design for rehabilitation of the road sections, which were damaged by the calamity is under preparation. American experts backed by the USAID were actively involved in the process of survey; together with the Georgian specialists, they have conducted geological investigations by applying latest technologies.

Infrastructural Projects Ongoing by Katskhi Monastery

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is implementing restoration-conservation of the cultural heritage monument, Katskhi monastery and arrangement of touristic infrastructure zones in the monastery adjacent area in Chiatura Municipality. Today, Juansher Burchuladze, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia was visiting the project site.
Rehabilitation works, funded by the World Bank are being implemented under the Regional Development Project and project cost exceeds GEL 1,000,000.

The launch of Vani archeological museum and Vani old settlement rehabilitation project

Rehabilitation/ reconstruction works for Vani archeological museum and Vani old settlement entire territory is implemented by Municipal Development Fund of Georgia. Cost of this large scale infrastructural project amount to Gel 14,6Mln and is financed by World bank and Government of Georgia. The project includes complex works which covers the following: Vani archeological museum, old settlement territory, access road and equipping archeological museum. Since 1985 till now museum has not been rehabilitated, after rehabilitation Vani archeological museum will meet international standards and will be one of the most standout museums in region.

Rehabilitation of 4 km road in village Marelisi is in progress

Municipal Development Fund of the ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia implements rehabilitation of 4 km auto road in Kharagauli municipality village Marelisi. Today first deputy minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Ilia Darchiashvili and MDF executive director Juansher Burchuladze visited construction site. Works are financed from state budget and amounts to GEL 1 091438,00. Mentioned section is earth road, which has never been covered with asphalt.

Tourist infrastructure to be arranged by Ubisa Monastery

The Municipal Development Fund of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia carries out the tourist infrastructure arranging works by Ubisa Monastery in Imereti Region with co-funding of the WB and GoG. Restoration works of the Monastery are under implementation as well. The First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Ilia Darchiashvili and an Executive Director of MDF Juansher Burchuladze have visited construction works. The project aims at contributing to maintenance of cultural heritage sites and rendering assistance to development of tourist infrastructure in Georgia.

Public Infrastructure of Imereti Region keeps on development with the support of the World Bank

The Agreement on additional funding of “The Second Regional Development Project” has been concluded today between the International Bank for Reconstruction Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA), per which the financial resources at the amount of 9 million USD will be allocated to Georgia.
The objective of the project is to rehabilitate the urban, public and tourist infrastructure in Imeregi Region and to execute the tourist infrastructure restoration works in order the number of visitors to be increased. MDF is to implement several significant projects within additional financing; in particular rehabilitation of Vani Museum, access road to Vani Museum and rehabilitation of treatment facilities in Tskaltubo Town.

The MDF has Arranged 13 Sports Grounds and Installed Heaters for 185 Households in the IDP Settlements

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has arranged 3 sports grounds and 10 playing grounds for children in various municipalities countrywide; the project was funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Moreover, heating systems were installed for 185 IDP households. Total project cost amounts to GEL 1 356, 267, 24. In Khoni IDP Settlement, sports and playing grounds were inaugurated by the Minster of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia, First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia together with the representatives of the USAID Mission.
