Georgia is to receive the financial support from the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) in order energy efficiency of public buildings to be improved.

The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) has completed rehabilitation of Tskneti-Samadlo and Tskneti-Akhaldaba motor road of approximately 4 km length. The referenced section of the road was damaged as a result of natural disaster dated June 13th, 2015 and movement had been an unresolved problem for the population. Minister of Infrastructure Maya Tskitishvili, Tbilisi City Mayor Kakha Kaladze and European Investment Bank (EIB) representatives have visited the finished road.

Giorgi Shengelia has been assigned as the Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDF).
In 2017-2018 Giorgi Shengelia was working as the Executive Director of “State Construction Company” Ltd. For various periods of time he had held the positions of importance at “IC Group” - Insurance Company.

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia is implementing Gorisa-Jalaurta road rehabilitation project in Sachkhere Municipality. The project is backed by the European Investment Bank and its cost exceeds GEL 2 million.

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) carries out rehabilitation of Water Supply System (WSS) in Gorisa and Chikha of Sachkhere Municipality. The Acting Executive Director of MDF Mr. Juansher Burchuladze has conducted the site visit aimed at familiarizing with the progress of works.

The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) has completed rehabilitation of Kindergarten #7, located at Tamar Mepe St. in Khashuri Town. The project has been implemented with financial support from the World Bank and its estimated cost amounted to GEL 904 thousand.

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia is constructing wastewater treatment plant in Telavi. The project is backed by SIDA and its cost averages GEL 12.4 million.

The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) has finalized rehabilitation of the Sports Complex and an access road in Matani Village. The works were executed with financial support from the World Bank (WB) at estimated cost of GEL 1.5 million.
