Soccer Stadium of Modern Standards under Construction in Marneuli
The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is constructing the FIFA Category II stadium in Marneuli. The government of Georgia is funding the project with the amount of GEL 8.1 million.
The stadium under construction was inspected by Irakli Karseladze, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and Giorgi Tsibadze, First Deputy Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund.
In Marneuli City, the central stadium with stands designed for 2000 spectators is being constructed under the project.
There will be dressing rooms, WCs, fast food spaces and other utility rooms arranged in the stadium complex. The building will be equipped with stadium lighting, audio and fire systems; special spaces are to be arranged for teletransmission purposes.
The stadium will be fully adapted to needs of disabled.
The new stadium is to contribute to introduction of healthy lifestyle among young people of the city and the region as a whole.
The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is implementing 9 sports infrastructure development projects countrywide.
