Studies Commence in New School of Saghrasheni

 In Village Saghrasheni of Tetritskaro Municipality, children resumed studies at the recently constructed public school.  The Government of Georgia backed school construction project at the cost exceeding GEL 1 million  was implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and  Infrastructure of Georgia.

Construction works were initiated in June, 2019 and were completed in August of current year.

Davit Tabidze, First Deputy  Executive Director of the  Municipal Development Fund inspected the site of accomplished works. 

The 60-pupil school was constructed with observance of current standards.  There are 8 classrooms and 1 classroom-laboratory existing in the building.   The school yard also underwent improvement works.  There were heating, water-supply, wastewater systems arranged in the building.  The school is fully adapted to needs of disabled persons. 

Under the Educational Infrastructure Construction and Rehabilitation Program, the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is undertaking construction of 66 schools, and works for rehabilitation and energy-efficiency component strengthening - for 100 schools. The Educational Program is funded by Government of Georgia and Donors   (CEB and NEFCO). Overall Program cost is exceeding GEL 300 million.

The MDF has been involved in Educational Infrastructure Construction and Rehabilitation Program since 2019. At the present stage, construction works are completed for 8 new schools in various regions countrywide.
