Request for Expression of Interest for the Position of Social Safeguards Consultant for Tbilisi-Rustavi Urban Link Project (Section 2)

The Project is funded by the Government of Georgia (GoG) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDF) is the project executing agency. The Project envisages Modernization of Tbilisi-Rustavi Section of the Tbilisi-Red Bridge (Azerbaijani Border) Road, in particular, upgrading the existing 17.1 km long, 2-lane road between Tbilisi and Rustavi into an international standard, “Category I” highway, with 4 lanes and a general design speed of 100-120km/hour and includes “urban boulevard” section with reduced speed limit. The Project has two key objectives: (1) A local and urban one, associated to the improvement of the urban link between Tbilisi and Rustavi; (2) An international one, the enhancement of the link between Azerbaijan and Georgia, and thereby between the Caspian Sea (Baku port) and the Black Sea (Poti and Batumi ports).
Under this project the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia announces Expression of Interest for selection of International Social Safeguards Consultant for Tbilisi-Rustavi Urban Link Project (Section 2).

Tourism and Project Performance Monitoring and Evaluation Activities in the Kakheti Region, Georgia

Georgia has applied for financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Regional Development Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services include the development of a monitoring and evaluation strategy that will serve to evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of the Georgia Regional Development Project. The activities undertaken under the consulting services are expected to (i) achieve a more detailed understanding of the current state of the tourism industry in the Kakheti region in the context of Georgia and (ii) deploy mechanisms to monitor the implementation and effectiveness of activities undertaken over the next three years to increase visitor arrivals, spending, employment, and tourism-related investment.

Preparation of Feasibility Study for the Rehabilitation of the Telavi Wastewater Treatment Plant and Preparation of Technical Specifications for the Rehabilitation of the Tskaltubo and Telavi Wastewater Treatment Plants

Georgia has applied for financing from Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency toward the cost of the Sustainable Wastewater Management Project (SWMP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) include Preparation of Feasibility Study for the Rehabilitation of the Telavi Wastewater Treatment Plant and Technical Description and Preparation of Technical Specifications for the Rehabilitation of the Tskaltubo and Telavi Wastewater Treatment Plants. The consultant shall work in close co-operation with the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) and United Water Supply Company of Georgia (UWSCG). The scope of physical work is limited to the rehabilitation of wastewater treatment plants, from the connection points to the existing sewer network, as defined in the Feasibility Studies.

International Consulting Services for Technical Assistance in the Wastewater Sector for United Water Supply Company of Georgia

Georgia has applied for financing from Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency toward the cost of the Sustainable Wastewater Management Project (SWMP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) include technical assistance in the wastewater sector for United Water Supply Company of Georgia. As part of the SWMP Technical Assistance Program the consulting company will be engaged as part of the process to achieve the stated results. The selected Consultant is expected to conduct its activities onsite in Georgia (90% onsite, unless stated otherwise) and work with the UWSCG on an intermittent basis for the specified number of contract days.
