Outpatient Clinics Already Opened in the Villages of Tkibuli, Khoni and Baghdadi Within 82 Outpatient Clinic Project

In the three municipalities of Imereti region, namely Khresili (Tkibuli ), Satsulukidzeo (Khoni) and Zeda-Dimi (Bagdadi), the primary health care service centers have already opened. The outpatient clinics have been installed by the Municipal Development Fund (MDF), and equipped by the ministry of Labor, Health and social Affairs (MoLHSA). The Government of Georgia allocated GEL 2.4 million for the construction of 82 new outpatient clinics throughout the country. In addition, GEL24300 was allocated for adjusting the clinics to the persons with disabilities.

At the presentation of the 6 months’ report, the Minister of Regional Development talked about the results of the two quarters’ work of the Municipal Development Fund

Today, the minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Elguja Khokrishvili presented the results of the 6 months’ work of the Ministry and its subordinate organizations to media and society. At the presentation of the report, the Minister also drew attention to the results of the two quarters’ work of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia. According to the Minister, during the mentioned period, the Fund implemented and launched very important projects. The fund now has 160 current projects. During the reporting period, implementation of additional 105 projects was planned. 20 projects had already been completed in the first quarter.

22 Buildings Located in Batumi, Tamar Settlement Saved by MDF from Destruction

22 Buildings in Batumi, Tamar Settlement are under rehabilitation works. Ilia Darchiashvli, first deputy executive director of the Municipal Development Fund visited the construction works underway in the settlement of IDPs and talked with the local population. MDF financed by the Government of Georgia carries out external hydro- and heat-insulation works and water-insulation and construction works of foundations for 22 residential buildings intended for the Batumi IDPs.

Lanchkhuti citizens will be provided with 24 hour waters supply

MDF Deputy Executive Director Mr. Tornike Toradze and Georgian United Water Company Deputy Executive Director Mr. Giorgi Koberidze visited water supply system rehabilitation works in Lanchkhuti municipality. After system rehabilitation Lanchkhuti population will be provided with 24 hour water supply instead scheduled from 3 till-12. MDF implements rehabilitation works by European Investment Bank funding. Total cost of the works is 2,703,731.06 GEL. After project finalization facility will be handed over to Georgian United Water Company for commissioning.

Tender for the new Metro Station Construction Works is Already Announced

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia has already announced tender for construction of ‘University’ metro station. Today the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Mr. Elguja Khokrishvili and Deputy Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia Mr. Ilia Darchiashvili have briefed public on the above-mentioned subject. The Minister and Deputy Executive Director of the Fund appealed to the companies to participate in the bidding. Khokrishvili and Darchiashvili also familiarized the public with visual materials depicting the metro station after completion of construction works.

In Ozurgeti water supply problem will be solved for 30 thousand citizens

Prime Minister State Representative in Guria region Mr. Giorgi Chkhaidze, MDF Deputy Executive Director Mr. Tornike Torade, United Water Company Executive Director Mr. Archil Tsabutashvili and Deputy Executive Director Mr. Girogi Koberidze visited water supply rehabilitation works in Ozurgeti. For 30 thousand Ozurgeti citizens water supply problem was solved by MDF. Water supply system has not been rehabilitated in Ozurgeti for many years, and MDF implemented rehabilitation works by EIB funding. Cost of the project is 2,653,428.70 GEL. As a result of rehabilitation population will have high quality 14 hour water supply instead 8 hour.

Kindergarten in Dzegvi was rehabilitated by MDF order.

In Mtskheta municipality village Dzegvi kindergarten was rehabilitated by MDF order. 138,000.00 GEL was allocated for civil works. Within the scope of rehabilitation following works were implemented: plaster and paint of walls, arrangement of sewerage system, door and floor replacement, lavatory repairing and new heating system installation. Currently 30 children go to kindergarten. Since rehabilitation kindergarten management received additional 110 applications. 35 workers were hired for civil works.

MDF rehabilitated kindergarten in Mtskheta

MDF rehabilitated kindergarten located on Gmiri Street in town Mtskheta. Cost of civil works is 120,635.07 GEL. Within the scope of rehabilitation following works were implemented: windows and doors replacement, new floor arrangement, lavatory and kitchen repairing, walls plastering and painting and heating system installation. As of today data 120 children attend to mentioned kindergarten. According to information provided by kindergarten management after building rehabilitation additional 50 parents expressed their desire to take their children into this kindergarten and additional 50 applications were received. 35 workmen were hired on civil works. Along with building rehabilitation yard also was arranged.

MDF rehabilitated kindergarten in village Ksovrisi

MDF has also rehabilitated village Ksovrisi kindergarten building and arranged yard. Cost of civil works is 164,136,99 GEL. Within the scope of rehabilitation following works were implemented: windows and doors replacement, new floor arrangement, sewerage system arrangement, lavatory and kitchen repairing, walls plastering and painting and heating system installation. Currently 25 children go to Ksovri kindergarten. After rehabilitation additional 40 applications were received by the kindergarten. 35-40 workers were employed on civil works.
