Restoration of Erekle II Palace has been finalized. Renovated Batoni Palace was opened by Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia. Opening Ceremony was attended by Minister of Culture of Georgia Mikheil Giorgadze, World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus Mercy Tembon, First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Ilia Darchiashvili, Executive Director of Municipal Development Fund of Georgia Juansher Burchuladze, Governor of Kakheti Region Irakli Kadagishvili, Mayor of Telavi City Platon Kalmakhelidze, Director General of National Agency for Monument Protection Nikoloz Antidze and other officials.

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development of Georgia is implementing rehabilitation works for the 7km length Askana-Mshvidobauri-Bakhvi road in Ozurgeti Municipality. The project is funded by the European Investment Bank and its cost averages GEL 3,751,602.92.

The works aimed at rehabilitating the road from the Center to the Hotel “Oasis” in Daba Chakvi and accomplishment of the site in the vicinity of it are being executed by the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia. The asphalt-concrete pavement of the vehicle road around the Hotel “Oasis” is completely damaged and even absent on some sections of it.

Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Nodar Javakhishvili together with the First Deputy Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and Juansher Burchuladze, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund, opened the rehabilitated road at Nikea Street in Kutaisi, representing the biggest street of the City. Prior to rehabilitation the road pavement of the referenced street was damaged and depreciated, conditioning traffic impeding and permanent jamming. Requirements of Safety Standards were not met as well.

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has completed rehabilitation works for the Wine Cellar access road in Kvareli Municipality Village Shilda. Juansher Burchuladze, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund was visiting the completed project site. The project was funded by the Government of Georgia.

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is implementing wastewater treatment plant construction works in town Kobuleti.

MDF Executive Director Juansher Burchulazde visited recreation center rehabilitation works in village Bakurtsikhe. Building was built in 70’s and has not been operating for 20 years. Entire rehabilitation of the building is conducted by MDF order.

Juansher Burchuladze, Executive Director of Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has conducted the site visit for restoration-preservation works of Katskhi Monastery in Chiatura Municipality. Along with the Monastery restoration, MDF is conducting also tourist infrastructure arranging works in the vicinity of the referenced site. The project execution is undergoing with the financial support of the WB within the Regional Development Program at the cost exceeding one million GEL.

Under the Regional Development Project, the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure is implementing tourist infrastructure arrangement work project in Ikalto Monastery adjacent area. The project is funded by the World Bank. Juansher Burchuladze, Executive Director of the MDF was visiting the project site.

Rehabilitation of Batoni Palace in Telavi is under progress by Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia with financing of the World Bank and Government of Georgia. Executive Director of MDF Juansher Burchuladze has visited the site. Cost of works totals GEL 6 423 430.
