The Conflict Zone Bordering 9 Villages will have the Water Supply Problem Solved

Water supply system improvement works will start in conflict zone bordering 9 villages of Shida Kartli. The project cot for civil works amounts to GEL 1 115 000.00. The works will be implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, and will be funded from its own budget.

By Governmental decision, water supply improvement works in Shida Kartli villages will be launched before the new year and upon their completion population of the following villages will have uninterrupted potable water supply: Didi Khurvaleti, Gugutiantkari, Koshka, Zardiantkari, Ditsi, Mereti, Tsaghvli, Atotsi and Knolevi. 

Shida Kartli villages have been suffering from shortage of potable water. For solving the above-mentioned question the following works will be implemented throughout the region:  - construction of water distribution pressure reservoirs is commencing in  Gori Municipality villages Didi Khurvaleti,  Gugutiantkari, Koshka and Zardiantkari;  apart from pressure reservoirs, 5 wells will be additionally arranged in Gori Municipality villages  Ditsi and Mereti, Khashuri Municipality village  Tsaghvli and Kareli  Municipality villages   Atotsi and Knolevi.

It is notable that this year the Municipal Development Fund has already drilled four wells in four villages – Didi Khurvaleti,  Gugutiantkari, Koshka and Zardiantkari, which has more or less settled water deficiency problem for the mentioned villages.   Currently, for complete solution of the problem, construction of  water distribution pressure reservoirs will start in these villages.
