Entire rehabilitation of Tskaltubo resort is implemented by the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia’s Municipal Development Fund

In Tskaltubo Municipal Development Fund is implementing rehabilitation works for entire resort zone as well as several infrastructural projects. Ongoing works were visited by  MDF executive director Giorgi Amashukeli, head of Georgian National Tourism Administration Giorgi Chogovadze and World Bank and local government representatives.

Within the framework of the project rehabilitation-construction works simultaneously are under implementation on 7 objects. Resort management office and small scale touring structures adjacent to central park and river Tsivi are being constructed. Meanwhile recovery of central park roads, installation of external lightening is in progress. Internal repair works are being implemented for Tskaltubo municipality buildings in particular: Board, city council, theatre and railway. Small size pedestrian bridges are being rehabilitated and territory is being arranged.    

Cumulative cost for Tskaltubo rehabilitation works consists of more than GEL 37 million. By World Bank financial support this project is implemented by the MDF. Total number of workmen hired on this project consists of 170. Touring infrastructure development and city urbanization will increase tourists flow in Tskaltubo. Works will be finalized in summer of current year.
