David Shavliashvili opened 2 km rehabilitated central road in Zugdidi

Khubulava street rehabilitation is finalized in Zugdidi municipality. Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Davit Shavliashvili, MDF first Deputy Executive Director Ilia Darchiashvili and local government representatives visited rehabilitated 2 km road in Zugdidi, the authorities entered into conversation with local population.

Total cost of Khubulava street rehabilitation in Zugdidi municipality is GEL 4 million. MDF has implemented this project by World Bank and State budget funding. In particular GEL 1,200 thousand was allocated by World Bank and 2,800 thousand from State budget.

In Zugdidi Khubulava street is the biggest street with length of 2 km. Except street rehabilitation drainage systems were also rehabilitated. Mentioned road is of 4 lanes. During years movement on this road was problematic for Zugdidi population as it was entirely amortized, since rehabilitation has been finalized problem is eliminated.

Rehabilitated 2 km road connects Zugdidi municipality to Anaklia and Ganmukhuri. Mentioned road shortens journey from Zugdidi to Anaklia. Rehabilitated road also connects 5 villages to Zugdidi Municipality.
