The Georgian Delegation has Visited Modern Urban Sites in Berlin

The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Davit Shavliashvili has commenced his visit to Germany by familiarization with modern urban sites.    The minister and his deputy, Giorgi Amashukeli, who is also the Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund and George Shukhoshvili, Director of "Solid Waste Management Company," visited the biggest landfill in Europe – BSR.

BSR is a landfill equipped with current technologies, where heat and power energy are generated as result of waste processing. For Georgia, which is working on development of the most tailored and effective waste processing system, it's a good opportunity of sharing valuable experience. Arne Goss - Infrastructure sector manager of the KFW was hosting Georgian delegation in BSR.

Moreover, David Shavliashvili, George Amashukeli, the Chairman of the Government of Adjara, Archil Khabadze, Mayor of Tbilisi, David Narmania, Mayor of Kutaisi, Shota Murghulia, director of the "Solid Waste Management Company” Ltd., George Shukhoshvili and Director of the "United Water Supply Company of Georgia”, Archil Tsabutashvili attended the Conference on "Sustainable Urban Development in South Caucasus”, which is being held for Georgian, Azerbaijanian an  and Armenian officials in Berlin, and is organized by the KFW.
