At the International Conference Amashukeli Gave a Speech on Progress Achieved in Urban Development

 The First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia – Giorgi Amashukeli, together with the Director of Solid Waste Management Company of Georgia – Giorgi Shukhoshvili and the Director of the United Water Supply Company of Georgia – Archil Tsabutashvili are on official visit to Germany.  Amashukeli, Shukhoshvili and Tsabutashvili are participating in the international conference dedicated to “Sustainable Urban Transport Development in South Caucasus”. Mayor of Tbilisi City Davit Narmania is also taking part in this conference.

 At the today’s session, there were discussed main directions of urban development existing in Germany and Europe, in general.    Main emphasis was placed on integrated prospects of urban development and participatory planning approaches. The discourse also touched on transformation of infrastructure development process, which was based on the Estonian experience in water supply sector.  

 On the same day, the First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, Giorgi Amashukeli briefed the audience on progress achieved by Georgia in terms of urban development.
