Population of town Tsnori will be provided with 24 hour water supply

Large scale infrastructural project will take place in town Tsnori – New central water supply system will ensure 24 hour high quality  water.

Project is implemented by United Water Company of Georgia and MDF.

Thereby Minister of  Regional Development and Infrastructure Davit Shavliashvili, United Water Company executive director Archil TSabutashvili, Kakheti governer Irakli Shiolashvili and Municipal Development Fund deputy executive director Tornike Toradze visited Tsnori.

 

Town Tsnori water supply rehabilitation is implemented by EU and European Investment Bank funding, cost of the project is more that Gel 8 million. Project aim is to ensure Tsnori 6400 population with 24 hour high quality water supply. Water is supplied to separate districts of town from local wells, which excludes adequate water quality and 24 hour supply. 

On Tsnori water supply rehabilitation project 250 workers will be employed by winner company “ Zimo”. During works project will be supervised by leader international consulting-engineering companies ILF Consulting Engineers and Saunders Group Ltd.

 

Project envisages 1250 cubic meter reservoir, pumping station, bore-holes and reservoirs rehabilitation/reconstruction, also pressure pipe, reservoirs, town’s internal distribution networks entire rehabilitation and I-II-III network zone arrangement. Works will be finalized in 2016.

After rehabilitation works finalization object will be handed over to United Water Company for commissioning.

Within the framework of partnership with EU and European Investment Bank MDF and UWC plan to implement same type of works in 30 towns of Georgia. Approximate cost of the project is   GEL 100 million.
