Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and MDF Executive Director’s meeting with the US Ambassador in Georgia.

 Today Minister of regional development and Infrastructure of Georgia Davit Shavliashvili and first deputy minister along with  MDF  Executive Director Giorgi Amashukeli have met with the US ambassador in Georgia Richard Norland  and Director of United States International Development Agency Stephan Haikin.

On a meeting parties have discussed ongoing infrastructural projects supported by the US funding. The US ambassador expressed interest towards vision of new Minister and future priorities. Minister Davit Shavliashvili stated that main direction of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has not been changed and Ministry does his best for projects successful implementation. With USAID financial support MDF  implements significant projects through Georgia. MDF director Giorgi Amashukeli has spoken regarding mentioned projects with Ambassador and USAID mission director. 

In addition ongoing rehabilitation works in Dariali valley, self-government reform and other basic issues were discussion on a meeting. USAID will provide required assistance to  Georgian side in public servants training and qualification improvement process.

 

At the end of a meeting the US ambassadors in Georgia Richard Norland invited Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Davit Shavliashvili to conference organized by Embassy. The issue of conference will be infrastructural and transport sector development.
