Outpatient Clinics Already Opened in the Villages of Tkibuli, Khoni and Baghdadi Within 82 Outpatient Clinic Project

In the three municipalities of Imereti region, namely Khresili (Tkibuli ), Satsulukidzeo (Khoni) and Zeda-Dimi (Bagdadi), the primary health care service centers have already opened. The outpatient clinics have been installed by the Municipal Development Fund (MDF), and equipped by the   ministry of Labor, Health and social Affairs (MoLHSA). The Government of Georgia allocated GEL 2.4 million for the construction of 82 new outpatient clinics throughout the country. In addition, GEL24300  was allocated for adjusting the clinics to the persons with disabilities.

 

Mr. Dimitri Makhatadze, first deputy MoLHSA and Mr. Zaza Meparishvili, Imereti Governor visited the new clinics in Imereti villages.

 

Clinic located in the village of Khresili will serve about 1200 persons. The old clinic did not meet the relevant professional conditions for the medical personnel.  While the one opened in Zeda-Dimi (Bagdadi district) has a capacity of serving 6 villages. The old medical institution was functioning in the building of Imedi cooperative,  and the medical personnel was facing problems when serving patients.

The new clinics are staffed with doctors and nurses having relevant qualification  and equipped with the latest devices.

 

The project is implemented by the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure (MRDI) and MoLHSA. Each clinic building is a standard one. Buildings with total area of  41-42 sq.m. are built with sandwich panels equipped with 2 heaters and 2 bathrooms. The clinics are fully adjusted to the needs of the persons with disabilities. MRDI and MoLHSA will conduct a permanent monitoring to ensure high quality work and completion of the construction in a timely manner.
