The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia Constructed in Poti Two Buildings for the IDP Families

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia constructed a new 4-storey building for the IDP-ies and conducted rehabilitation works for the former Hotel Ayety building with the funding of the German Reconstruction and Development Bank (KFW).  As a result of above-mentioned construction and rehabilitation works, 104 IDP households overall will benefit from the new housing.  Rehabilitation-construction of the IDP housing in Poti Municipality was backed by the German Government.  Total project coast amounts to GEL 4,5 million There were some 100 persons employed for construction works. The works were executed by the company “INDICO” LTD. The project was launched in October, 2011 and was completed this year.  As a result of rehabilitation of the former Hotel Ayety building, 73 apartments got rehabilitated in all, 35 of them were one-roomed flats, 11of them were two-room, 20 – three-room and 7 – four-room flats. Besides, there was a separate apartment rehabilitated for women. Gross residential area of this building totals 3524.86 square meters.  As for the newly built four-storey apartment house, 31 flats with the total area of 1643 square meters were constructed in all.  8 of them are one-roomed, 15 – two-room and 8 –three-room flats.   The newly built as well as rehabilitated apartments are equipped with bathrooms and lavatories, kitchens, and KARMA type heaters. Moreover, there are gas stoves installed in every flat; electric water heating devices in the bathrooms and the sinks in the   kitchens.  There are two elevators operating in the rehabilitated 9-storey building.   The building adjacent area is asphalted and landscaped with grass plot. Each apartment is individually metered.
