MDF rehabilitates residential building for 110 ADP families

 In Autumn 110 ADP families will receive new residential building. Mr. TornikeToradze Deputy Executive Director has visited construction works. 

 Within the frame of municipal infrastructure and ADP’s residential building rehabilitation MDF is rehabilitating residential building for 110 ADPs in Kutaisi which is former hospital and is located on Otskhelistreet, project is financed by USAID and total cost is 4,356,899.00 GEL.

It has to be mentioned that except Kutaisi MDF rehabilitates three more buildings in Kaspi and Borjomi, and after works finalization 240 ADP families will receive new residential building.

 Rehabilitation works commenced in February 2014 and will be finalized in 6 months. From 110 apartments there are 46 one - room, 52 two - rooms, 12 three - room flats. Among them 6 flats are completely adapted for disabled persons and after rehabilitation entire building and external infrastructure will be totally adapted fordisabled persons.

 During project implementation 120-150 persons will be employed, among them 25 % are ADPs. For each apartment there will be totally equipped individual bathrooms and water closets, installed water heater in kitchens and“ Karma” type  heating. Following facilities will be arranged: Playgrounds and parking area external lightning, decorative lamps, recycle bins and other necessary equipment.

 In autumn when rehabilitation works are finalized MDF Management along with Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories and Accommodation Refugees of Georgia will hand over apartment keys to 110 ADP families.

 Except 4 buildings rehabilitation MDF partially rehabilitates 22 collective centers, among them 18 are located in Kutaisi, 2 in Tskaltubo and 1 in Zugdidi. Rehabilitation works of mentioned buildings will be also financed by USAID.
