6 New Kindergartens under Construction for Children Living in Mestia Municipality

 The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is constructing 6 kindergartens in Mestia Municipality.

Giorgi Tsibadze, First Deputy Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia visited the ongoing project site together with local authorities.  

Kindergarten construction works are already completed in Mestia Municipality Chuberi Community Village Lakhami and the center of Chuberi Community, concurrently construction works are in active phase for Becho Community Village Mazeri, Village Mulakhi, Mulakhi Community Village Cholashi kindergartens and Village Mestia Kindergartens #2.

Each kindergarten is to serve 50 children.

Before project implementation, children had to travel long distance to reach the kindergarten. Following kindergarten project completion, kids will attend new kindergartens constructed in accordance with international standards, located in the vicinity of their homes.    

There will be playrooms, dormitories, toilets and yards arranged in the new kindergartens. Each kindergarten building is to be adapted to the needs of disabled.

Cost of the Government of Georgia funded 6 kindergarten construction project amounts to GEL 5 million.  

In 2019, the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has initiated 56 kindergarten design-construction projects in various municipalities countrywide; the program is backed by Government of Georgia and donor organizations.
