Construction of 90-pupil school completed in Village Darcheli

 The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has completed Zugdidi Municipality Village Darcheli public school #1 construction project. GEL 1.7 million project was funded by the Government of Georgia.   

The school, designed for 90 pupils was  constructed with observance of international standards. Apart from classrooms, the school yard underwent improvement as well.  Heating, water supply and wastewater systems were also arranged under the named program.   The school is fully adapted to needs of disabled people.

Under the Educational Infrastructure Construction and Rehabilitation Program, the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is undertaking construction of 66 schools, and works for rehabilitation and energy-efficiency component strengthening - for 100 schools.

In 2020, the MRDI has completed construction of 20 new schools designed for 1530 pupils. During 2021, construction of 41 schools for   7020 pupils will be additionally completed. Besides, in course of 2021-2022, reconstruction-rehabilitation works for more than 100 schools will be gradually completed, as a result of which 16 thousand pupils will have an opportunity to attend classes in fully refurbished schools.   

The Educational Program is funded by Government of Georgia and Donors   (CEB and NEFCO).

Overall Program cost is exceeding GEL 300 million.
