Aleksandre Kazbegi Museum Undergoes Active Rehabilitation

 Rehabilitation of Aleksandre Kazbegi Historical Museum in borough Stepanstminda is being implemented by Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of  the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) with the World Bank (WB) support. The project value exceeds GEL 4 million. 

 

The works are being carried out in compliance with specific recommendations, released by Prime Minister led Interagency Coordination Board and Health Ministry in order spreading of novel corona virus to be prevented.

  

The MDF representatives are to provide monitoring over fulfillment of recommendations and adherence to work safety standards. 

 

The project considers the works of the 2nd phase of Stepantsminda Museum rehabilitation: rehabilitation-restoration of historical structures and site improvements.

 

Executive Director of MDF Giorgi Shengelia along with the State Authorized Representative to Mtskheta-Mtianeti Shalva Kereselidze and representatives of construction and supervision companies visited the site to inspect the works ongoing.

  

The project implementation will establish the favorable conditions for tourism to be developed throughout Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region, and that in its turn will assist to social-economic condition of locals to be improved.
