The Municipal Development Fund Conducting an Open Day

 The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia conducted an open day regarding school, kindergarten and sports complex construction/rehabilitation projects.     At the meeting, representatives of construction companies were updated on conditions of planned construction projects.  

Davit Tabidze, First Deputy Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund, Akaki Devidze and Jaba Sirbiladze, Program Managers of the same Fund were present at the Open Day.  

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia intends to implement school, kindergarten and sports complex construction/rehabilitation projects in a number of regions countrywide.  Within the period of 2019-2021, the Municipal Development Fund plans to complete construction/rehabilitation of about 160 schools throughout the country.  Design/construction projects for 59 schools and design works for rehabilitation of 80 schools are already launched. In 2019, the Municipal Development Fund has commenced construction of dozens of schools all over the country and arrangement of preschool infrastructure is still one of top priorities. Besides, the Fund is undertaking numerous significant sports infrastructure construction/rehabilitation projects. The Program is funded from the state budget and through donors’ sources.  

The Municipal Development Fund is aimed at rendering bidding procedures more transparent and effective and at granting interested companies an opportunity to familiarize themselves with projects before announcement of biddings, in order to better prepare themselves and provide for open and equal conditions in competitive environment.
