Tourist infrastructure to be arranged by Paravani Lake and St. Nino Monastery

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) has scheduled to arrange the tourist infrastructure at Paravani Lake and St. Nino Monastery in Javakheti, Ninotsminda Municipality with financial support from the Government of Georgia (GoG). The design works have been finalized as of to date and the construction bidding is to be announced in the near future.

 

Arrangement of tourist infrastructure of Paravani Lake envisages arrangement of the parking lot, Paravani lake dam and associated infrastructure. It is scheduled also the pedestrian paths to be arranged from St. Nino Convent to the south bank of Paravani lake.

It is envisaged also the tourist infrastructure at cultural heritage monument - St. Nino Covenant to be arranged in Ninotsminda Municipality. Within the project it is planned the access road to the Covenant to be rehabilitated, parking lot and tourist facilities at the entrance of the Covenant to be arranged and visitors center, tasting area, kitchen, shop for ecclesiastical items and candles to be constructed. The works comprise also of restoration of the hall type house covered by the crown, representing the sample of architecture that is characteristic for the region, there is to be constructed the borehole and biological WWTP for water supply of the facility as well, site of the covenant will also be landscaped.

Arrangement of Paravani lake bank and tourist infrastructure at St. Nino Temple in Ninotsminda Municipality will assist and increase the tourist potential that is of high significance for development of the region.
