Davit Narmania and Elguja Khokrishvili Attended a Georgian- German Business-Forum

During their visit to Germany, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Davit Narmania and the Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia Elguja Khokrishvili attended the German-Georgian Business Forum held in Frankfurt.

The Business Forum also hosted the Ambassador of Georgia to Germany - Lado Chanturia and about twenty Georgian companies. The Forum aimed at arousing potential investors’ interest in Georgia and expanding prospects of future cooperation between the two countries.

At the Forum, the Minister delivered a speech.  In his statement, he noted that the government of Georgia is pursuing an active policy targeted at improvement of investment climate in the country.  He also discussed regional development and infrastructure improvement projects ongoing in Georgia, which are actively backed by the German donor organizations.

Within the frameworks of the visit the Georgian delegation also met with the representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Transport of Hennessey Land, where the delegation was introduced to German experience   of regional system arrangement, urban planning and development. 

At the end of the day, Davit Narmania attended a special reception organized by the mayor of Frankfurt. In his speech, the Minister once again emphasized the importance of sharing German experience and expressed

the hope that Germany will actively assist Georgia in implementation of infrastructural projects and adoption of European standards
