Construction of the new school designed for 300 pupils commenced in Lagodekhi Municipality Village Kabali

Within the period of 2019-2020, the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia will complete construction and rehabilitation of about 150 schools.   Currently, the MDF has already announced biddings on design-build for more than 40 schools and rehabilitation of dozens of shools.  Giorgi Shengelia, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia together with Jondo Mdivnishvili – Mayor of Lagodekhi Municipality was visiting one of such schools - 300 pupil secondary school of Lagodekhi Municipality village Kabali.

 

Pupils attending Kabali secondary school are being educated in difficult conditions. Following completion of the new school construction project, the village will have an international standards-driven building, where the pupils will have an opportunity to get educated in an orderly school with improved infrastructure and environment.  The school will be fully adapted to needs of disabled.  

Except for Lagodelhi Municipality village Kabali school, the project also provides for construction of Heretiskari public school, for which purpose the winner company has already been revealed and design works are in progress.

Apart from construction of new schools, within the period of the 2019-2020, the MDF intends to rehabilitate and improve energy efficiency component in dozens of schools in different regions countrywide.
