Davit Narmania and Teimuraz Murgulia Visited Infrastructural Project Sites in Cyprus

The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Mr. Davit Narmania commenced his official visit to Cyprus . Within the frameworks of the visit, the Minister, together with the Deputy Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund - Temur Murghulia and other representatives of the Ministry visited and examined construction sites.

The Minister of Communications and Works of Cyprus Tasos Mitsopoulos noted that the Georgian delegation has the opportunity to see all innovations, which have been introduced in the domain of infrastructural projects countrywide. "We have presented to the colleagues infrastructural works of Larnaca. We are aware that David Narmania is interested in rehabilitation projects, improvement of urban infrastructure and enhancement of life quality for the residents of the city, through  better  urban planning.  I reckon that it was a favorable possibility for Mr. Marmania to see the way we are managing such types of projects. Georgia can gain firsthand experience and become familiar with the novelties that Cyprus can offer." - stated Tasos Mitsopoulos.

Today, the Georgian delegation  together with the Minister of Communications and Works of Cyprus Tasos Mitsopoulos  will meet the Minister of Foreign Affairs  of Cyprus Mr. Ioannis Kasoulides and His Beatitude Archbishop of Nova Justiniana and all Cyprus, Chrysostomos II.

Within the frameworks of the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between the Ministry of Communications and Works of Cyprus and the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia. The Memorandum provides for sharing experience between the two countries and introduction of European standards.

"We have observed  construction works, as well as the technical documentation, which is of great importance for project management. During this visit we will sign a memorandum of understanding between the two parties to exchange information and experiences in the field of infrastructural project implementation. It is particularly important for the Georgian side to acquire experience of infrastructural project  implementation in line with European standards; under the present memorandum,the Cypriot partners will assist us in this respect." - noted David Narmania.
